The Social Tone was started when professional violinist and entertainment agency founder, Saraya Beric, fell into the role of a ‘social media consultant,' after successfully using social media to brand her musical career. Having been on MySpace first and then Facebook for a number of years with her entertainment business (The String Selection), Saraya acquired many marketing skills including brand building and fan engagement, resulting in the majority of her income being generated by leads and relationships which she had built on those social platforms.

In 2012, Saraya expanded her social media services and started community management as well for other small businesses and in 2013, was contacted by a well-known former MP and NSW Senate candidate, whom Saraya had been recommended to. Always up for a challenge, Saraya accepted them as a client, managing their social media presence and also other marketing needs for their political party, which included consulting on the new branding of the party, media and public relations from 2014-2016.

At the 2016 Federal election, this political party won 4 Senate seats across the country and the former MP became a Senator. The Social Tone was then hired by another Federal Senator from the party, before they went Independent in December 2016.

In 2017, Saraya continued to showcase her marketing skills within the political realm, with her ‘Tinder Pollie’ campaign at the QLD State election which received widespread national media coverage and, as a result, has acquired interest in her skills from other businesses around the country.
